With the new EES (Entry-Exit-System) legislation set up by the European Union for 2022, all non-EU nationals making a short stay in the Schengen area will soon be registered thanks to the collection of their biometric data. For this, the EU will finance nearly 34.9 billion euros to help Member States install fixed and mobile equipment capable of managing this data collection.
All European airports, sea and land access points will be equipped with fixed and mobile equipment that can quickly and reliably record people’s biometric and biographical data.
